Eureka College Women’s Board Sells Cookbooks, Wreaths, Poinsettias

EUREKA – The Eureka College Women’s Board is selling cookbooks, holiday wreaths and poinsettias to support projects that benefit Eureka College students, including scholarships, improvements to residence halls and academic buildings, furniture for residence halls, library equipment and funding for arts programming.

The three-ring hardbound cookbook titled “‘Neath the Elms II” includes more than 200 recipes from women’s board members, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of the college. Cost is $15.  

The balsam wreaths measure 24 inches and include pine cones and a red velvet bow. Cost is $16. Poinsettias are red or white in a 6-inch pot. Cost is $10. Nov. 27 is the order deadline.

The wreaths and poinsettias must be picked up from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Dec. 6 at the Eureka College maintenance building, 516 E. James St.

Membership in the women’s board is open to any woman who wants to be involved in fundraising activities that benefit Eureka College students.  The board meets four times a year. Annual dues are $15. For membership information, contact Kennell.
